Neighbourhood Drinks: YourCase edition

Our Neighbourhood Drinks are a chance for us to engage with the design and tech minded in Collingwood and surrounding areas, and on this occasion to celebrate the launch of YourCase.

7:00 am - 10:00 am

Thank you to all those who attended our first Neighbourhood Drinks event of 2020 and who joined with us to celebrate the pilot launch of YourCase.

If you'd like to find out more about YourCase and the potential it has to assist victim-survivors in navigating the court system, listen to Radio National's interview with Nicole Lee about her involvement in co-designing the product.

Celebrating the launch of the YourCase pilot

For this Neighbourhood Drinks event we used the forum to also celebrate the launch of our latest product: YourCase. YourCase is an online tool created to help people prepare for court, and is particularly focused on helping Family Violence Intervention Order applicants navigate the court process.

It was a privilege to have a number of representatives of the partners that supported YourCase and assisted us with our research, co-design, testing, and more over the last 3 years. At the event we got to hear from Andrew Niere from Public Sector Innovation, Nicole Lee, a public speaker and anti-violence campaigner, and Eva Perez from Family Violence Command, on their involvement with the creation of YourCase and what was taken into account to create this product so that it could provide the most benefit.

If you would like to find out more about YourCase you can visit the website, read our latest article on the launch of the pilot, or listen to this interview between Nicole Lee, survivor of family violence and public speaker, and Radio National’s Patricia Karvelas.

The event was held, as usual, on the ground floor of our Collingwood office on Easey Street, and was open to everyone who wished to attend. Friends, past or current clients, or locals who had heard of Portable and wanted to find out a bit more about us were all welcome.
