eDiary, the court bookings system for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, integrates with JusticeLink through the Department's own MuleSoft platform, runs on AWS with an architecture reviewed by the Department's solution architects, and uses NSW Design System components. When the Supreme Court (Fees) Amendment Regulations changed how probate fees are calculated, the Supreme Court of Victoria had a legislated go-live date rather than a target. Portable replaced the legacy advertisement system inside the existing probate flows and delivered on the day the regulations took effect.

Applying for a family violence intervention order used to mean filling in a paper form and delivering it to a court or police station in person, whatever your situation at home. Portable built Australia's first online FVIO application. Independent research across 791 applicants found online applicants reached the hearing stage nearly two weeks earlier, found the process simpler and less stressful, and reported greater control over it. One told researchers she wouldn't have applied at all otherwise. The same principle shapes the Western Health waitlist platform, designed with patients across Melbourne's west with widely varying digital and written literacy, and the headspace services used by young people at their first contact with mental health support.
Legal Aid NSW's Grants Tracker, built by Portable years earlier, still tells applicants where their application stands. After probate went live, Court Services Victoria extended Portable to support RedCrest-Search. Someone has to keep these platforms patched, current, and answerable to whatever comes next, and we stay on them. Where that becomes a question of operating at scale, our observability and reliability team leads.
