Buledya

Our joint venture with Ngakkan Nyaggu

Buledya is a majority Indigenous-owned joint venture between Portable and Ngakkan Nyaagu (NGNY), named for the Wemba Wemba word for "two." It's a strategic partnership built to put Indigenous participation and representation at the centre of economic, social, and strategic work, guided by five principles: living, being, doing, knowing, and belonging.

Buledya led the co-design of a theory of change and monitoring approach with the VCAT Koori Support Team, and worked alongside Indigenous Business Australia and NGNY to shape a new website blueprint grounded in real conversations with customers and staff. Buledya also publishes independent research, including Data sovereignty begins on country, a report on Indigenous leadership, knowledge systems, and the future of data governance in Australia.
