Provisioning new environments used to take weeks and depend on a slow, expensive vendor process. For the University of Sydney, Portable built a containerised infrastructure with automated pipelines, cutting environment setup from weeks to hours and reducing running costs by 70% through automated scheduling. The engagement also handed over full knowledge transfer, so the university's own team could run and extend the pipeline independently once Portable moved on.

Sprawling cloud environments make it hard to keep track of what is configured correctly and what is not. For Spotlight Retail Group, Portable deployed AWS Config and Security Hub across every account as infrastructure as code, with compliance rules covering encryption, access control, network security, and logging. Manual audits gave way to continuous, automated monitoring, with real-time alerts flagging any deviation before it became a bigger problem.
headspace needed to modernise account security for young people and their families without adding friction to a service many already find hard to approach. Portable designed and implemented a flexible multi-factor authentication system, configurable by IT managers and offered across SMS and email, tested carefully to minimise disruption at launch. Nearly a third of new accounts created since launch have opted in, showing that stronger security and a simple sign-in experience can go together.
