Brand strategy and identity
We build brands for organisations that need to be understood clearly: what you stand for, how you say it, and how it works everywhere people encounter you.

Portable starts with workshops, interviews, and a look at what everyone else in the sector is saying, and how they’re saying it. Then we present directions, decide together, and test with the people your org is meant to reach. At Newmark, positioning workshops with educators and parents revealed the elements that were essential, differentiated, and translated to a complete brand system. The same method built the brands for a national credentials platform, a gene technology provider, and a biosecurity platform.

A new brand is about finding what is true and meaningful to the existing identity and bring it into the light in a cohesive translation. Preshil has taught progressive, child-centred education since 1931, but by 2025 the whole independent sector was talking about wellbeing and individual growth. The school's real difference was being crowded out by competitors using the same language. We gave the school back a vocabulary of its own
Preshil’s seventeen-year-old website relied on outside help and came with no in-house documentation. We made sure the new system could be owned and used from day one: a practical brand kit, documented IA and requirements, clear governance and named roles, plus Canva training so staff could create their own material. The internal team launched the brand themselves using the new templates.
