Based on interviews with over a hundred people in government roles, our work on innovation in government has led to this research project. It examines projects that have succeeded or failed, to identify some of the critical factors required for people working in policy and policy implementation to be successful in innovating. Through our research, we identified eight prerequisites for successful innovation and the recipe for creating the right ecosystem for government innovation to happen.
